About Erika

Erika - Principal of Scoliosis SOSErika Maude is the Founder and Principal of Scoliosis SOS, the world-renowned non-surgical ScolioGold treatment centre.

Born in October 1986, Erika had an unconventional childhood. Living aboard the family's houseboat, she was home-educated until the age of 13, when she won academic and music scholarships to some of England's top private schools. After completing her A-levels at Woodbridge School, Erika had originally planned to become an accountant and so embarked on a gap-year placement scheme at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

It was during this time that she decided to change her career track and fulfil her long-standing ambition to open a non-surgical scoliosis treatment centre in the United Kingdom, following the success of her own treatment for the condition in Europe.

Turning down a scholarship from PricewaterhouseCoopers to study Business Economics and Finance at Loughborough University, Erika started Scoliosis SOS in May 2006, when she was just 19 years old.

Erika voted East of England Young Businesswoman of the Year for 2007Since then Erika and the clinic have gone from strength to strength; she was voted East of England Young Businesswoman of the Year for 2007. Her work with Scoliosis SOS has been featured in a number of national and local publications including the Daily Mail, Independent, Daily Express and Prima. Erika on BBC BreakfastShe has appeared as a guest on BBC Breakfast and joined Brad Williamson, Consultant Spinal Surgeon and President of the British Scoliosis Society, on BBC - Radio 4 Woman's Hour to represent her clinic's non-surgical methods in a scoliosis treatment debate.

Her clinic has successfully treated hundreds of scoliotics, attracting patients from as far a field as New Zealand, Japan, Nigeria and the United States of America, as well as all round the United Kingdom. Erika is regarded as an authority on the non-surgical treatment of scoliosis.
